Today, United for Wildlife is delighted to share that this year’s Global Summit will be hosted by award-winning Brazilian journalist Maria Júlia Coutinho (Maju).

Maju is widely recognised for her pioneering role in Brazilian journalism. She was the first Black woman to anchor Jornal Nacional, Brazil’s most-watched news programme, and now leads Fantástico, a flagship Sunday night news programme on Globo TV. During her career, Maju has interviewed some of the world’s most influential changemakers, including Viola Davis, Angela Davis, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Francis Kéré, Francia Márquez, Malala Yousafzai, and Magic Johnson.
